Pottermore is born! (Well, nearly)

OMG!!!!

After hearing that J.K Rowling had a new project upcoming, I was both excited and nervous. Having been a Harry Potter fan for a long time, it was nice to have something new to be excited about but at the same time, I was worried it might not be as interesting as people were hoping.

How wrong was I?! Potter more is set to be a new interactive world of Harry Potter where you can immerse yourself in the stories in a brand new way. Not only that, but J.K Rowling is set to reveal previously untold information about the story - yay!

Harry Potter geekdom

I may or may not have mentioned my obssessive love for Harry Potter in a previous post! If I haven't....I have an obsessive love for Harry Potter! For what must be almost ten years, I have relished the books and the movies, discussed theories, even written fanfic! Harry Potter is how I managed to make so many friends online too so it will always have a special place in my heart. Recently I wrote an article that I would like to share with you about Emma Watson as Hermione Granger. I have not always been a fan of her acting, however, what she does show is a glimpse of what more she has to give as an actress and I am looking forward to seeing any upcoming projects she may have! For now though, here is a look back at her time in Harry Potter.

More Harry Potter?

It seems my Harry Potter geekiness has yet to be properly discussed here! I won't completely bore you with it though, I willjust give you the highlights!

When I was 17, my best friend was reading a Harry Potter book on the train on the way to college.When I asked her why she was reading a kid's book, she replied "Because it's good." I laughed, read the back cover, laughed again and gave it back to her. What's weird is, I don't remember when I first picked up the Philosopher's Stone and got addicted, I just know that I was instantly hooked. What followed can only be described as an obsession - reading the books, analysing them, posting theories on forums and debating, watching the movies, buying the merchandise. You name it, I probably did it!

Only true Harry Potter fans can understand the depth of love I have for the characters, and the lady who created them, J.K Rowling. But today it was brought to my attention that there may be still be life in the Harry Potter series yet. It got me thinking about how this could even work when J.K Rowling made such an effort to tie up all the loose ends. More to the point, do we really want more Harry Potter? Loving the books is one thing, but it seemed as though the door had closed on that world and I am not entirely sure it's a good idea to re-open it. For more thoughts on this, please click here.
